Capistrano
Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) kicks
off its 10th Anniversary of rescuing
and adopting homeless and abandoned
animals with a "Take Home Some Love"
Celebration, offering available cats
for adoption from Saturday, July 24,
through Sunday, Aug. 1, at just $100
(regular price $135).
CARE
volunteers will be on hand at the
San Juan Capistrano PetSmart in-store
adoption center from 12 noon to 4
p.m. Saturday and Sunday on those
two weekends to accommodate prospective
pet parents.
"We
have given more than 1,200 pets new,
forever homes," said Connie Butler,
lead volunteer. Butler noted that
each animal has been examined by a
vet, is tested for FeLV/FIV, spayed/neutered,
wormed, and current on vaccinations,
litter box trained and fitted with
a microchip for identification.
"We have cats for every conceivable
lifestyle: families with kids, mature
adults, and singles" Butler said.
"We can find a good match for a person's
situation."
